DO YOU PTSA?
Join the James B. Sanderlin PTSA and help us keep moving forward! Together, we will continue to be: a powerful voice for all children; a relevant resource for parents; and a strong advocate for public education.
Don’t miss your chance to become a supporting member of this wonderful organization! Anyone can be a member – parents, grandparents, community members. Membership is not tied to any volunteer commitments, but rather a way to show your support for the programs and events the PTSA provides.
Memberships range from $5-$10 for individuals and $50 for businesses.
VOLUNTEER
There are a ton of events throughout the year that our school needs help with. Our teachers and students are eternally great full for any time you are willing to help. Opportunities include back-to-school time with teacher room set-ups, classroom champions, and various social and fundraising events.
Events with volunteer opportunities include:
- Movie nights
- Cultural celebration fundraiser
- Book fairs
- Tortogua Trot
- MLK Community Day
- Other fun celebrations!
To become a volunteer with Sanderlin, you must first register on the Pinellas County School website and submit identification. This online form takes 5-15 minutes to fill out and ensures the safety of our students.

LOG YOUR HOURS
It is very important for volunteers to log ALL of their hours in the system. Hours include planning and attending PTA and SAC meetings, planning and working events, making phone calls, working on projects, soliciting donations, shopping for supplies, etc. ANY time spent on activity that benefits the school counts! Hours do not have to be served on campus.
Recognition, funding, and grant opportunities are available if we meet certain criteria on volunteer hours and activity.
